General Departmental Policies 1.30 Music Facilities March 8, 2005 The Music Program at MSU has offices and classrooms in three buildings on campus: Instrumental Building (IM), Harding Building (HA), and the Fain Fine Arts Center (FA). All music buildings are opened by university custodians on weekdays at 7:30 a.m. Most buildings will be open until 9:30 p.m. on weekdays. Custodians will occasionally close buildings early if no classes are scheduled. The south door of the Fain Fine Arts Center (facing the soccer field) will be open on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.. The Fain Fine Arts Center will be locked on Sundays. The outside door to Akin Auditorium will not be left unlocked at any time. The marching band practice field is located on Louis J. Rodriguez Boulevard at Midwestern Parkway. Music-faculty offices are located in the Fain Fine Arts Center, with the exception of Dr. Larry Archambo and Mr. Alan Black, located in the Instrumental Music Building, and Dr. Don Maxwell, located in the Hardin Building. Four practice rooms are in the Fain Fine Arts Center, one practice room is in the Instrumental Music Building, and two practice rooms are in Akin Auditorium. Students may also practice in the classrooms and rehearsal halls anytime the facility is not in use.
